Colorado revokes hundreds of driver's licenses

The Associated Press
DENVER—The state of Colorado has canceled the driver's licenses of at least 1,400 people who took tests at the American Driving Academy.

Department of Revenue Spokesman Mark Couch says the licenses were revoked to protect public safety after an ongoing investigation related to an employee of the driving school. He didn't release details.

KUSA-TV reports the letters went to students instructed by Dennis Sieving.

Sieving told the television station Friday that he was contacted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security two months ago and was accused of falsifying paperwork for Burmese students. Sieving denies the allegations.

KUSA reports he recently resigned as a driving instructor, citing health reasons.
